Rules & Regulations of AMAINDIA. 1.NAME & ADDRESS The name of the Association shall be " THE ALTERNATIVE MEDICAL ASSOCIATION OF INDIA." A national Association of practitioners of Alternative Complementary Medicine and Holistic Therapies .Here in after referred as " A.M.A./INDIA. " ll. THE Registered office of A M A INDIA shall be at Delhi at the place decided by Administrative bearers for office purpose. lll."DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION. " 3.1 Definitions a) "C E C"shall mean Central Executive Council. b) "A M A I"or "Association" shall mean The Indian Alternative Medical Association. c) "Office"shall mean the registered office of the association.
1. Individual having qualification as degree will be enrolled as A M A I (R.M.P.) Registered Medical practitioner . 2. Individual having qualification as diploma will be enrolled as J A M A I (E. M. P.) ,Such individuals shall be enrolled with the A M A I in any one of the categories in two groups as R.M. P. or E.M.P.mentioned as members by applying in prescribed application form with the prescribed fee. (b) Kinds of Members A M A I shall have the following kinds of members 1, Ordinary Member- An individual who is qualified to become an Ordinary Member of A M A I on annual payment shall be registered as an Ordinary Member of A M A I. 2. Life Member - An individual who is qualified to become an Ordinary Member on payment of Life membership fees to A M A I shall be registered as a Life Member of the A M A I. 3. Patron - A Member who pays to the A M A I a Patron membership fee Rs.10,0000 or more ( non refundable ) may be considered as a Patron of A M A I. on confirmation by the C E C.
4.3 Cessation of Membership A registered Member of A M A I shall cease to be a member of A M A I if/she. a) Resigns voluntarily by written notice to the C E C unless such resignation is not accepted by the C E C for any reasonable grounds so stated. b) Is declared insolvent or is convicted for an offence involving moral turpitude. c) Fails to pay any arrears of subscription for a period of more than 24 months after the same become due. d) Is disqualified or removed from membership by the General Body of A M A I by a resolution passed 2/3 rd majority of all members present and voting after exhausting all disciplinary procedures.

d) "Member"shall mean, a member with voting right,unless specified otherwise . e) " Branch" shall mean a dully Constituted Branch of the Association. f) "Committee" shall mean the Executive "Committee".,unless specified otherwise. g) "W C A M A" shall mean the World Confederation of Alternative medicine system or Therapies. h) "Sub Group" means Special interest Group. i) "C C A C" means Certification & accreditation Committee. Interpretation Any Interpretation of these rules and regulation stated here in relating to any of the matter incidental or ancillary there to, made by the Central Executive Committee shall be final subject to the approval of the General Body. IV.MEMBERSHIP & PRIVILEGES 4.1 Membership of the A M A I (a) Eligible Members Any of the following individuals shall be eligible to be a member of A M A I.Any person possessing a degree / diploma in Alternative Complimentary Medical System or Therapy from a college or an individual Registered or enlisted in any state medical board / state medical Council or an Institution in India recognised by any University approved by U G C Various governments, shall be eligible to become member of A M A I
4.3 Rights of Membership (a) Individuals registered as Life Member or Active Ordinary Member shall be entitled to : i) Attend ,receive notices, speak and vote at a general body meeting of the members of the A M A I on any matter which may be submitted for consideration. ii) Contest elections of A M A I for the position of an office bearer. iii) Serve as member of sub- committees appointed by C E C or the general body of A M A I . iv) Receive all official communication by a registered Member of A M A I shall address at his / her with in India and any place shall post or by e-mail on their registered mail address. v) To use the abbreviation A M A I M after their name. vi) Receive the copy of the memorandum of Association at the time of becoming a member ,free of cost and payment thereafter.
